Introductions

The four syllable word that can send cold sweats, shivers, and cotton mouth to those who are somewhat reserved.  Standing up in front a group telling them your name, age, school and your favorite color… or ice cream flavor…or if you’re really lucky your favorite movie.  Then they dig right in asking you where you work, your most embarrassing moment, and what you fear the most.  Once I was even asked to share my deepest darkest secrets in hopes that my insecurities and qualms once released would send comfort through the entire group…highly unlikely

Hi. My name is Hannah I am 23 years old and am a graduate from Western Carolina University.  My favorite color this week is yellow, strawberry ice cream is how I get my fix, and I am irrevocably addicted to the life lessons taught in the age old classic ELF.  I have the privilege of working at my local YMCA as a Middle School Teen and Youth Director.  My most embarrassing moment was when I was in elementary school.  Let me set the scene for you.  It was a rainy day probably Tuesday  (let’s be honest who really likes Tuesdays) I was wearing my brand new white keds, hot blue stirrup leggings, and a button up dress that had fruit on it… and need not forget the matching balloon bow my mom so graciously made for me.  It was my first day of third grade.  With high hopes I walked through the front door of our classroom trailer where my teacher was waiting along with my new classmates.  Slippery floors, keds remarkable tread, and the fact that I was literally 6 feet tall didn’t mix well.  I truly believe that was Cary North Carolina’s first earthquake!  My fears being with anything on the bone (chicken wings etc.), I fear pruned hands rubbing together after hours in the ocean, and being alone while playing hide-n-seek.  The idea of not being able to tell someone how much I love them before I lose them makes me physically sick and most important not following out the adventures God has set for me. As for my deepest darkest secrets I can’t share them or else they would no longer be deepest darkest secrets.

Wow my hands aren't sweating, I'm actually quite warm, and fully hydrated...hummm!

xoxo hsw
